Despite being earlier than usual this year, the the PTA’s Marché de St Nicolas on Sunday November 25th was full of cheer , seasonal music and festive spirit. With a record number of stallholders there was a buzzing atmosphere and plenty of temptation with wreaths , jewelry, decorations , books , ceramics , up-cycled gifts and so much more.
In the Cafeteria the smells were enticing and the food stalls selling tasty dishes ranging from Ethiopian specialities to pumpkin soup to Syrian falafel to homemade cakes did brisk business. The two PTA bars were kept busy with friends welcoming in the winter season with glasses of chilled bubbly and warming Vin Chaud.
Throughout the day the Music School entertained us all by showcasing the talent of the students and teachers and providing a beautiful musical soundtrack to the Marché.
The Gift Baskets were again a roaring success and there was fierce bidding for many baskets . Thank you to everyone who came and to everyone who worked hard to make the Marché another wonderful event in the school calendar.
